Sveva Armchair by Flexform
The sophisticated silhouette of the Sveva armchair reveals its unmistakable personality while silently telegraphing its generously welcoming appeal. A shapely shell made of rigid structural polyurethane and then upholstered in saddle hide accommodates the soft, goose down filled seat and seat back cushions. The cast aluminum swivel base comes in versions with four or five spokes, the latter specifically designed to meet the needs of the contract market. Finish options for the support base are: satin, chromed, burnished, black chromed and champagne finished metal. Between the saddle hide shell – available in nine colors – and the cushion upholstery options, that can be created in all the exclusive Flexform collection of fabrics and leathers, countless combinations are possible. The Sveva armchair can be paired with its own namesake ottoman. The design of the base also inspired a series of occasional tables in various sizes and in a number of finishes, including sumptuous wood, exquisite lacquer and luxurious marble. With its sophisticated yet uncomplicated lines, the Sveva armchair is a perfect match with all the sofas in the collection and is confidently at home in both residential and hospitality interiors.

Flexform uses just the highest quality of full grain leathers, which distinguish by their features such as softness, naturalness and meat-ness. The leather, rigorously tanned in Italy with careful and strengthened processes, it passes through a grinding phase, a sort of peeling, which smooths the surface preparing it for the dyeing. The used leathers are dyed with aniline with a process called passante, since the colour is completely absorbed up to the deepest lays. This means that it is not just the external surface which is dyed, but also the internal parts so that in case of scratches the natural colour of the skin’s animal is not going to be visible. The not total homogeneity of the surface needs to be considered a peculiarity of the natural leather and it becomes an aesthetic quality for everyone who can appreciate its value.
Many Flexform products have metal structures with a painted finish: epoxy powder-coat or liquid. Powder-coating creates a layer of polymers that anchor very securely to the surface being treated. This type of coating is generally resistant to scrapes and bumps. The chromed finish is, instead, achieved through galvanization with chrome that leaves the surface polished with a mirror effect. Among the available Flexform finishes are: satin-finish, chromed, burnished, black chrome and champagne.
