Its exposed solid wood structure—meticulously turned, joined, and sanded by hand—creates a sculptural presence that echoes architectural forms found in Japanese teahouses or modernist pavilions.
Hand-woven leather strips stretch across the seat, back, and arms, offering both tension and tactility. Crafted in Italy and available in walnut or oak, the piece is finished in natural oils to preserve the timber’s grain and tone. A study in discipline and proportion, it embodies Riva1920’s reverence for joinery, form, and material truth.
