The Bolle Collection: A Sculptural Dialogue in Light

There is a rare alchemy in lighting design that blends purity of form with emotional depth—Bolle achieves this with extraordinary finesse. Named after the Italian word for “bubbles”, its softly glowing orbs of hand-blown glass float across slender arms of burnished brass, drifting through space like suspended droplets. The effect is not merely luminous, but architectural: a kinetic play of light and shadow that shifts with every angle. More than a fixture, Bolle composes a visual rhythm—shaping spatial ambience through restraint and clarity.

The Language of Atmosphere

First unveiled in 2014 as a single chandelier, Bolle has since evolved into a full family of luxury lighting typologies—suspended pendants, wall-mounted sconces, table lamps, and sculptural floor lights. Yet every piece maintains the same poetic identity. Its coherence lies in a disciplined visual language: transparency, proportion, and poise. Whether floating above a dining table or cascading through a stairwell void, Bolle is never decorative—it is spatial, elemental, and quietly commanding.

Crafted in Italy, Made to Endure

Conceived by Massimo Castagna—a Milanese architect known for distilling form into essence—Bolle is made by Gallotti&Radice, a renowned Italian lighting and furniture maker based in Cermenate, Lombardy. Founded in 1955, the atelier is celebrated for its architectural clarity and artisanal mastery of glass and metal.

Each Bolle piece is crafted with precision and intent. The orbs are mouth-blown using traditional Venetian techniques, their subtle irregularities revealing the trace of the maker. The brass structures are hand-burnished to a muted gleam, designed to catch the light with warmth and texture. Bolle is the result of designer vision and artisanal execution, shaped entirely in Italy.

To celebrate the collection’s tenth anniversary, Bolle was reimagined in a new chromatic palette titled It’s All About Colours. Subtle hues—topazio, ambra, ametista, and bronzite—lend an emotional tone to the glass, layering depth and memory without compromising the purity of form.

Lighting That Shapes Interiors

Favoured by architects and interior designers for its sculptural restraint and spatial intelligence, Bolle has become a hallmark of refined contemporary interiors. From modern residences to gallery-like hospitality spaces, its visual lightness and artisanal construction make it far more than a decorative object. It is a signature of taste—anchoring space, elevating materiality, and enriching the interplay between light and form.

Bolle is a quiet gesture with lasting impact: a modern classic that continues to evolve, one hand-blown sphere at a time.
