Designed by Antonio Citterio in 1984 and reintroduced for contemporary interiors, the Flexform Ginger chaise longue blends sculptural elegance with ergonomic intent. A sinuous tubular metal structure supports a fluid, reclining form, integrated with a pivoting side table—creating an architectural silhouette suited to refined living spaces or reading lounges.

The goose-down back cushion rests against a cylindrical leather-clad bolster set on concealed springs, offering supple yet supportive comfort. Upholstered in Flexform’s curated range of fabrics or leathers, the seat features tonal piping for a tailored finish. Ginger expresses timeless innovation through material clarity and quietly confident design.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

The upholstery piping is a tailored detail, featuring grosgrain piping that can be crafted in all colours on the sample board, adding a bespoke finishing touch.

The upholstery is removable, available in both fabric and leather versions for versatility and ease of maintenance.

The structure is made from tubular metal, available in either a chrome or burnished finish. The wood bar is clad in leather, with a full range of leather options from the collection. The springs are made from piano wire, finished in chrome for durability and resilience.

The seat is metal, with a variable-density polyurethane foam insert, padded with polyester fibre, and covered in a protective laminated fabric for added comfort and longevity.

The backrest cushion is filled with sterilised goose down (Assopiuma certified, Gold label), offering luxurious, enveloping comfort.

The pivoting side table is attached to the sofa and made from wood clad in leather, matching the colour of the backrest bar (with leather options from the full collection). The structure of the table is metal, painted black. The sofa features a pivoting side table on both sides for added functionality.

The feet rest on tips made from thermoplastic material, ensuring stability and floor protection.

This product is made to order in the Flexform factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
