With a low-slung silhouette and sculptural depth, the Flexform Groundpiece sofa reframes the architectural role of luxury seating. Designed by Antonio Citterio, its modular form introduced a new era of casual sophistication—eschewing decorative excess for quiet composure, softness, and lived-in adaptability. The expansive volume anchors gallery-style interiors, penthouse lounges, or open-plan living rooms with understated authority.

Goose-down cushions rest on a solid wood and metal frame, while integrated consoles—upholstered in suede or cowhide—replace traditional armrests with functional surfaces or concealed shelving. Configurable in linear or corner compositions, Groundpiece remains a defining statement in contemporary Italian design.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

The frame is made from metal, with moulded polyurethane padding wrapped in a protective laminated fabric for a durable and comfortable structure.

The ottoman is constructed with a solid wood structure, padded with polyurethane foam, and covered with the same laminated fabric as the sofa for a seamless match.

The seat cushions are filled with sterilised goose down (Assopiuma Gold Label certified), providing premium comfort and support for a luxurious seating experience.

The metal armrest is upholstered in cowhide, available in a range of colours including Russian red, olive, black, dark brown, extra dark brown, grey, sand, and tobacco. Alternatively, suede options are available in black, dark brown, olive, and sand for added texture.

The feet are made from epoxy powder-coated metal and rest on thermoplastic pads for stability and floor protection.

The upholstery is removable and available in both fabric and leather, offering flexibility and ease of care.
