Elevated on a slender solid iroko wood frame, the Ortigia outdoor armchair by Flexform reinterprets indoor craftsmanship for open-air living. Designed by Antonio Citterio, its curved profile supports a hand-woven backrest in polypropylene cord or polyurethane rubber—materials selected for their refined texture and durability.
The generously upholstered seat cushion rests lightly within the wooden shell, offering balance between comfort and structural clarity. Finished in natural, white lacquer, or grey stain, and detailed with die-cast alloy tips, Ortigia is suited to terraces, garden lounges, or poolside settings—bringing tactile richness and architectural presence to contemporary outdoor environments.

Constructed from solid iroko wood, the structure and backrest come in various finishes including natural, stained grey, lacquered white, and stained brown. The woven detailing is available in polypropylene cord colours such as sand 8001 and green 8006, extruded PVC with a nylon core in options like anthracite 7005 and cream 7001, or matte polypropylene cord in shades like natural 8102 and anthracite 8105. The feet are crafted from die-cast zama, featuring either a matt brushed or burnished finish, and rest on thermoplastic tips. The seat combines marine plywood and polyurethane foam, encased in a water-repellent laminated fabric. Upholstery is removable for easy maintenance, and an optional waterproof cover is also available.
