Defined by its precise proportions and tactile composition, the Ortigia outdoor chair by Flexform reinterprets classic craftsmanship for alfresco dining. Designed by Antonio Citterio, its solid iroko wood frame is offered in natural, lacquered white, or stained grey, and anchored by die-cast metal tips for added ground protection.
The backrest is hand-woven in polypropylene cord or polyurethane rubber, offering visual rhythm and structural lightness. A softly upholstered seat cushion adds tailored comfort. Ideal for terraces, courtyard dining, or architectural garden spaces, Ortigia merges material clarity with outdoor resilience—an elegant companion to sculptural tables and open-air living environments.

Crafted from solid iroko wood, the structure and backrest come in a selection of finishes: natural, stained grey, lacquered white, or stained brown. The woven detailing is available in a range of materials and colours, such as polypropylene cord in shades like sand, anthracite, or bordeaux, extruded PVC with a nylon core in options like white or cream, and matt polypropylene cord in natural, ice, or straw. For stability, the feet are made of die-cast zama, available in matt brushed or burnished finishes, and rest on thermoplastic tips. The seat is fashioned from marine plywood and polyurethane foam, covered in a water-repellent laminated fabric. As a bonus, the upholstery is removable, and an optional waterproof cover is available.
