A study in spatial theatre, the Houdini cabinet by Giorgetti introduces monumentality and mystery to architect-designed dining rooms, lounges or private studies. Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, its curved walnut form conceals layered compartments, casting subtle shadows beneath bronze-tinted glass and leather-lined interiors. Sculptural and enigmatic, Houdini anchors a room with gallery-like presence.

Handcrafted in Italy, the structure combines solid Canaletto walnut with curved MDF and pewter-painted metal hardware. Hidden mechanisms unlock concealed compartments with a 90-degree swivel, enabled by Arnite spacers. Integrated LED lighting fades on and off by sensor, articulating a designer storage cabinet of spatial wit and compositional depth.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

The structure is made from plywood, curved veneered MDF, and solid grey Canaletto walnut, providing a sturdy and elegant foundation.

The cabinet features columns with right and left opening, with two upper compartments equipped with flap doors and internal compartments covered in leather.

Hidden compartments are accessible via an unlocking mechanism, with leather coverings and a special 90-degree opening system, achieved through Arnite spacers inserted laterally along a metal rod for smooth operation.

The cabinet is equipped with LED lights, featuring a fading on and off sensor for seamless lighting control.

The shelves are made from bronze tempered glass for the walnut version and grey tempered glass for the maple version, adding an elegant touch to the interior.

The feet are height-adjustable, with each door equipped with a wheel that is also adjustable in height to facilitate smooth opening and closing.
