Traced in a continuous curve, the Round D.154.5 armchair by Molteni&C reinterprets Gio Ponti’s 1950s original with sculptural fidelity and post-war optimism. First exhibited at the 11th Milan Triennale, its enveloping form marked a radical departure from traditional seating—defined by a shell-like silhouette that floated above tapered wooden legs.

Faithfully reissued as part of the Heritage Collection, this sculptural Italian armchair is updated with contemporary materials while preserving the original’s architectural purity. Ideal for collector-grade interiors or curated lounges, Round D.154.5 bridges modern design history with present-day compositional refinement and enduring mid-century relevance.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery available in fabric or leather. Seat and back structure in electric-welded metal, filled with shaped polyurethane and wrapped in bonded cotton-polyester fabric.

Back Supports crafted from curved and shaped plywood, finished with stained ash veneer.

Feet in steel with non-slip plastic ferrules, available in satin brass or black chrome finish.

Details aesthetic screws in matching satin brass or black chrome to complement the feet.

This product is made to order in the Molteni&C factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
