Elongated lines and quiet volume define the Archibald King armchair by Poltrona Frau, Jean-Marie Massaud’s elevated interpretation of the original. A refined headrest emerges from the flared silhouette, while soft folds in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric introduce surface rhythm and composure—hallmarks of the collection’s sculptural identity.

Beneath the upholstery, shaped polyurethane foam and polyester wadding rest on a spring-support system, engineered for long-form comfort. The frame sits on cast aluminium feet with a gunmetal steel base, offering subtle lift and visual grounding. This designer leather armchair is ideal for reading corners or executive interiors, where form meets immersive stillness.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Structure of the backrest and seat is made from steel with elastic belt suspension, ensuring lasting support and flexibility. Padding combines moulded polyurethane foam, shaped foam, and polyester wadding to create zones of exceptional comfort.

Base includes four cast aluminium feet connected to a tubular steel frame, available in gunmetal grey, burnished, or titanium finishes.

Upholstery available in Pelle Frau® leather—ColorSphere® (SC), Nest, Soul, Velvety—or Fabric A, B, or C.

Aesthetic details include contrasting stitching on the leather version, while fabric versions feature tone-on-tone stitching for a seamless finish.
