With its bulbous profile and softened geometry, the Squash armchair by Poltrona Frau—designed by Faye Toogood—punctuates reading corners, gallery-like interiors, and curated lounges with sculptural character. Its trestle base and enveloping volume blur the boundary between functional seating and art object, distilling playfulness into spatial presence.
Built on a Polimex® structural frame, Squash features moulded polyurethane foam and polyester wadding for a plush yet resilient sit. The leather-upholstered legs continue the form’s visual language, while upholstery in Pelle Frau® or leather-textile combinations introduces contrast and tactility. A confident architectural piece, it redefines comfort through expressive volume and rigorous craft.

Upholstery finished entirely in Pelle Frau® leather, with light padding on the shell and sides in expanded polyurethane. Seat and backrest cushions are filled with expanded polyurethane and polyester wadding of varying densities to maximise comfort.
Shell made from Polimex® and poplar plywood, offering strength with a lightweight profile.
Base constructed from birch plywood and reinforced with a central steel crossbar painted black for added structural integrity.
Sides elegantly covered in Pelle Frau® leather, seamlessly integrated into the silhouette.
Glides made from black nylon to protect flooring and ensure smooth positioning.
