A visual echo of jazz’s improvisational rhythm, the Dizzy rug by Poltrona Frau pays homage to Max Huber’s unreleased compositions and the kinetic energy of Dizzy Gillespie’s music. Radiating lines in staggered sequences evoke syncopated movement—balancing graphical tension with expressive clarity across a refined, architectural plane.
Hand-knotted using the traditional Senneh knot technique, each individual thread of New Zealand wool is tied with precision, creating a dense, velvety surface with enduring resilience. A statement of design fluency and tactile depth, Dizzy anchors modern interiors with bold harmony—where artistic legacy and contemporary craftsmanship converge.

Composition made entirely from 100% natural carded and hand-spun wool. The inherent irregularities in the wool create rich, three-dimensional colour effects, resulting in a distinctive contrast between background and pattern—even in lighter tones.
Pattern also crafted from natural wool, with a ‘Cut’ fleece structure that forms a uniform long-pile surface, offering a texture reminiscent of velvet.
Finishing details include a 4 cm-high edge using the Kilim technique on the shorter sides, made from wool in the same colour as the rug’s background. The longer sides are bordered with hand-sewn wool edges for a refined finish. Overall thickness is approximately 12 mm.
