MATERIALS & DETAILS

Constructed from seasoned beech wood, this chair features a traditional suspension system of hand-tied steel springs attached to jute belts, enhancing durability and comfort. The rubberised horsehair padding and goose down-filled seat cushion add a touch of luxury. Available in either dark walnut-stained beech or black lacquered wood for the feet, the chair allows for upholstery removal only for the fabric-upholstered seat cushion. Adding to its exclusivity, the external back and upper inside edge of the backrest are accented with a row of leather-covered tacks, and it comes as a numbered series featuring a 24kt galvanic-dipped golden plate.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.

About Renzo Frau

Lorenzo Frau, known as ‘Renzo’, was born in Cagliari in 1881 and met an early death in 1926. Having moved to Great Britain for work, he was able to discover the Chesterfield model armchairs and immediately imagined its potential, successfully starting to import it into Italy. He left an extensive archive of projects that would allow his wife to coherently pursue Poltrona Frau production in the years to come.
