With its sculptural lines and mid-century poise, the Mamy Blue armchair by Poltrona Frau introduces visual rhythm to reading corners, private lounges, and refined residential spaces. Inspired by Carlo Mollino’s expressive forms, the high backrest and enveloping arms create an architectural cradle for seated repose.

The frame is constructed from seasoned beech and multilayer birch, with a moulded polyurethane back and double-cone steel springs beneath the seat for enduring comfort. Upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather with Saddle Extra hide detailing and contrast stitching, the chair is finished with wengè-stained ash feet. Crafted in Italy with precision upholstery expertise.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. Upholstery is fixed and not removable. An optional headrest cushion, filled with polyurethane foam and goose down, can be freely positioned thanks to an integrated counterweight for personalised comfort.

Padding includes moulded polyurethane foam for the seat cushion and backrest shell, offering ergonomic support and lasting comfort.

– Suspension: Biconical hand-tied steel springs fixed to jute belts for traditional resilience

Base features four legs in solid ash with a choice of wengè stain or moka stain. The swivel mechanism allows 37° rotation in either direction and includes a self-centering return.

Optional footrest crafted from seasoned beech wood and birch plywood, with moulded polyurethane foam padding. The base is finished in black-textured coated birch plywood, complementing the chair’s design.
