With its tapering silhouette and horizontal precision, the Peek-a-Book desk by Poltrona Frau brings architectural balance to home offices, private libraries, and refined workspaces. Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, the minimalist frame is wrapped in Pelle Frau® leather and elevated by hand-finished wood detailing.

The desktop conceals two discreet drawers with soft-close runners, while the internal structure is formed from birch plywood and solid beech for strength and stability. Rounded corners, a slightly recessed surface, and tailored seamwork reinforce the desk’s sculptural clarity. Peek-a-Book merges traditional Italian craftsmanship with contemporary utility—redefining the work desk as a composed interior element.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather, applied to the top surface, drawer fronts, and the side doors that provide access to the rear compartments. The finish is uninterrupted by stitching, ensuring a sleek, seamless appearance.

Structure crafted from solid ash with a distinctive triangular cross-section, available in ash with a wenge stain (32) or moka stain (61). The top is shaped from poplar plywood panels, counter-veneered with MDF, and finished with a curved front in moulded polyurethane foam.

Drawers feature a front panel in MDF covered in matching Pelle Frau® leather. The internal drawer structure is made from solid ash in a wenge stain (32) for consistency and durability.

Internal organisation includes two front drawers and two concealed side compartments. These compartments are designed as cable management zones and can accommodate multi-socket units or electrical components—ideal for modern workspaces.
