With its radial symmetry and sculptural clarity, the Scarlett round sofa by Poltrona Frau—designed by Jean-Marie Massaud—creates a striking centrepiece for luxury lobbies, gallery-style interiors, and circular architectural spaces. A brushed and burnished steel ring forms the perimeter frame, supporting Saddle Extra leather straps that function as both armrest and backrest.

The deep circular seat features goose-down and polyurethane foam padding, resting on discreet castors that allow smooth 360° rotation. Three loose back cushions offer adaptable support. Visually open yet anchored in precision, Scarlett transforms modular seating into an immersive installation—balancing material expressiveness with engineered versatility.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, with removable covers for the seat, backrest, and optional fabric cushions. Three large goose-down back cushions are included; scatter cushions available upon request.

Structure features a circular external frame in brushed burnished steel, wrapped in vertical Saddle Extra leather belts, tensioned with saddle-leather crosspieces and finished with gunmetal grey loops and Poltrona Frau logo buttons.

Seat frame in seasoned beech wood with elastic belt suspension, padded in differentiated-density polyurethane foam and goose down for a luxuriously soft yet supportive feel.

Backrest cushions include a stabilising polyurethane foam insert encased in goose down for added comfort.

Base rests on eight concealed one-way castors, allowing smooth 360° rotation.
