A refined interpretation of the four-poster typology, the Volare Due bed by Poltrona Frau, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, introduces quiet architectural tension through a suspended interplay of form and material. Its minimalist profile is anchored by slender uprights and an open canopy, reimagining classic proportions with contemporary restraint.

Crafted from solid ash with moka- or wengè-stained finishes, the frame is paired with Saddle Extra leather, Pelle Frau® upholstery, and refined fabric accents. Precision stitching and saddle-leather inserts reveal Poltrona Frau’s artisanal expertise, while the absence of overt ornamentation lends the piece a serene, sculptural presence.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery available in Pelle Frau® leather or Saddle Extra leather, seamlessly wrapped around the bed frame and footboard. The headboard cushion is padded with polyester wadding and cotton cloth for refined comfort.

Headboard constructed from solid ash with a triangular profile and a Moka stain finish, complemented by black plastic protective caps. Internal elements include solid beech, birch plywood crossbars, and hardboard infill panels.

Bed frame & footboard crafted from tulipwood and joined to the headboard via discreet gunmetal grey steel spacers and plates.

Feet front supports made from solid ash in a Moka stain, complete with felt pads for floor protection.

Structure reinforced with a black-painted steel midbeam and foot, steel corner plates, and dedicated brackets for cable management.

Base includes two Vespero slatted systems with steam-curved and pressed beech plywood slats, suspended on plastic joints to promote breathability and mattress longevity.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Delivery options: United Kingdom

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
