Defined by its sculpted silhouette and poised proportions, the Suzie Wong Extra bed by Poltrona Frau—designed by Roberto Lazzeroni—reinterprets the classic boat bed with architectural elegance. The headboard is minimally adorned with two horizontal, bar-shaped buttons, creating a visual anchor within its smooth leather surface.

Slender legs, sheathed in leather and finished with brushed brass tips, elevate the form while enhancing its sense of lightness. The structure is built from solid beech and multilayer birch for lasting stability, and fully upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® or Nest leather. Suzie Wong Extra brings tailored luxury to serene, design-focused interiors.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Upholstery in Pelle Frau® leather from the ColorSphere® (SC) or Nest collections, with leather-covered cylindrical buttons adding sculptural detail to the headboard. The rear is upholstered in Poltrona Frau Jacquard fabric as standard, with matching leather available upon request.

Headboard crafted from solid beech wood and birch plywood, with a soft architectural form achieved through moulded polyurethane foam padding. Embellished with refined leather buttons for a tailored, elegant finish.

Base constructed from spruce plywood for the sides and poplar plywood for the footboard, maintaining a consistent low profile. Corners in moulded polyurethane foam ensure seamless, softened transitions.

Structural elements include a midbeam with foot, corner plates, and all accessory components in black coated steel for stability and longevity.

Slatted base Vespero model supplied as standard, with steam-curved and pressed beech plywood slats and advanced plastic suspension joints to optimise airflow and ergonomic support.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Delivery options: United Kingdom

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
