A sculptural companion to Renzo Frau’s original 1912 design, the Chester One ottoman by Poltrona Frau refines classic proportions with architectural poise. Its structured silhouette is defined by deep capitonné tufting in Pelle Frau® leather—each pleat and button meticulously crafted to honour the brand’s heritage of saddle-inspired upholstery.

Constructed with a seasoned beechwood frame and padded in multi-density polyurethane, it offers adaptable functionality as a footrest, occasional seat, or sculptural centrepiece. Whether paired with the Chester One armchair or used independently, this designer leather ottoman expresses timeless Italian craftsmanship through a lens of contemporary restraint.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Structure crafted from seasoned beech wood, offering traditional strength and longevity.

Suspension features biconical hand-tied steel springs secured to jute belts, ensuring enduring support and authentic craftsmanship.

Padding includes hand-shaped vegetable horsehair in the backrest and armrests, a rubberised horsehair seat, and a seat cushion filled with polyurethane foam and goose down for exceptional comfort.

Feet are spherical (6 cm) and available in either dark walnut-stained beech (05) or black lacquered beech (11), providing a classic and elegant foundation.

Upholstery available in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® (SC), Soul, Heritage, Velvety, or Nest leather collections. Upholstery is fixed and not removable.

Aesthetic details include a refined row of leather-covered tacks on the outer back, and a handmade capitonné design featured across the backrest and armrests of the armchair, sofa, and ottoman—highlighting the artisanal heritage of the piece.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Delivery options: United Kingdom

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
