With its reclined posture and aerodynamic silhouette, the Downtown Lounge chair by Jean-Marie Massaud introduces sculptural clarity to refined lounge spaces. The softly curved shell supports a relaxed yet upright seating position, while the swivel base—with a four-spoke die-cast aluminium structure—enhances movement without visual disruption.

Crafted by Poltrona Frau, the chair is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather and features differentiated-density padding for calibrated support. A return mechanism ensures automatic repositioning after rotation, combining comfort with compositional order. Compact yet immersive, this designer swivel lounge chair reflects Massaud’s vision of sensual restraint and contemporary Italian upholstery craft.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

The upholstery is in Pelle Frau® leather, available in a choice of colours, providing a luxurious and tailored finish.

The padding is made of expanded polyurethane with differentiated densities, creating enhanced comfort zones. It is complemented by quilted polyester wadding for added softness and support.

The optional footstool is made of molded expanded polyurethane and polyester wadding, ensuring both comfort and durability.

The metal base is crafted from 4-spoke die-cast aluminum, available in the following finishes:
– Burnished aluminum
– Polished aluminum

The feet feature black plastic glides, applied to protect the floor from damage.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Delivery options: United Kingdom

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
