With its low profile and oversized proportions, the Mr Moonlight bed by Poltrona Frau introduces sculptural calm to master suites and penthouse bedrooms. Designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, the broad headboard features generous cushioning and vertical stitched channels that articulate its volume.
Wrapped in Pelle FrauĀ® leather or Saddle Extra hide, the headboard is paired with a slim metal frame finished in burnished or matte tones. Internal structures in solid beech and birch plywood ensure long-term integrity. Handcrafted in Italy, Mr Moonlight combines visual softness and architectural restraint to redefine contemporary sleeping spaces with balanced, material-led design.

Upholstery available in a wide selection of Pelle FrauĀ® leathers and fabrics, with the rear headboard finished in Poltrona Frau Jacquard cloth. Matching upholstery for the rear headboard is available on request for a fully coordinated look.
Headboard constructed from solid poplar and beech, birch plywood, and infill panels in hardboard and fibreboard. Generously padded with polyurethane foam, polyester wadding, and cotton cloth for a plush, architectural presence.
Base made from an aluminium die frame with moulded corners and matching aluminium feet in a Ruthenium finish, complete with black plastic protective caps. A central beam, foot, and additional metal components are crafted from black-coated steel for stability and durability.
Bed surface includes two birch plywood bases, each detailed with a Poltrona Frau logo set on a Saddle leather plate and finished with non-slip fabric straps. Supplied with two Vespero slatted bases in steam-curved and pressed beech plywood, featuring plastic joints to enhance suspension and mattress breathability.
