With its sculptural surface and tonal complexity, the Pecan rug by Poltrona Frau introduces architectural softness to gallery-style living areas, private lounges, and refined bedrooms. Its raised weave—crafted through the rhythmic alternation of double and single yarns—draws inspiration from traditional tricot techniques.

Handwoven on a loom, the rug is made from hand-carded wool spun around a 3 mm jute core, embedding its structure within the weave. A 4 cm wool-and-jute fabric border edges the short sides, while a canvas-textured finish defines the long edges. Pecan exemplifies Italian textile artistry—offering warmth, durability, and refined tactile contrast.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Material composition features a surface made entirely from 100% natural wool, while the overall structure blends 60% wool with 40% jute for enhanced strength and texture.

Border crafted from a 4 cm-wide wool and jute fabric, neatly sewn onto the two short ends of the rug. The edging is detailed with a woven canvas-effect fabric, alternating between the rug’s primary thread colour and a contrasting accent.

Technical details include an overall thickness of approximately 12 mm and a weight of 2.3 kg per square metre, balancing plush comfort with structural resilience.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.
