Step into a workspace that exemplifies refinement and functionality with the Scriba Desk, masterfully designed by Patricia Urquiola for Molteni&C. Boasting clean lines and an elegant simplicity, this desk features a decoratively perforated top support element that adds a touch of lightness to its robust construction. Wooden surfaces are elegantly contrasted with a side pocket in hide leather, while a practical lateral drawer offers ample storage.

To elevate the Scriba Desk’s functionality even further, an ingenious book support element in painted sheet metal is included, allowing you to keep your essential reads within arm’s reach. Adding to its versatility, an optional bookend support can be effortlessly placed in your preferred direction on the desk’s top. MATERIALS & DETAILS

This desk offers a variety of customisable features to suit your taste. The top and L-shaped leg are available in finishes like American walnut, eucalyptus, or graphite oak, while the fretwork leg and drawer block come in a choice of colours. The top is crafted from a honeycomb core wood panel and finished with a veneer of either American walnut, oak, or eucalyptus. The fretwork leg consists of a central phenolic HPL laminate panel with a 1 mm thick exterior aluminium sheet, painted in a choice of colours, and it’s supported by plastic feet. The L-shaped leg is made of chipboard and is also veneered to match the top. The optional side pouch is crafted in vegetable-tanned hide, available in a range of sample colours, from natural and black to dove grey and hunter green. Additional features include a bookshelf support made of folded sheet aluminium and a chest of drawer and tray drawer made of wood particleboard with melamine facing.

This product is made to order in the Molteni&C factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Delivery options: United Kingdom

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.

Patricia Urquiola, born in Oviedo, Spain, blends the rigor of her training at the Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 under Achille Castiglioni, with the creativity stemming from her Spanish roots. In 2001, she opened her own studio, showcasing a unique fusion of Spanish vibrancy and Italian precision. Urquiola has developed numerous projects and collections for Molteni&C, including her diamond table, which won the Red Dot Award for Best Product in 2005.
