Conceived by designer Kensaku Oshiro, the Iren Desk is a marvel of modern adaptability and style, designed to effortlessly fit into contemporary living spaces as a compact domestic workstation. The desk features two overlapping tops, each crafted from beech plywood with a tasteful edging of ash. The lower “L”-shaped top is fixed in place and includes a handy recess for stowing away small items, making it a practical addition to any home or office setup.

The upper top of the desk slides smoothly along internal guides, resting upon a metal box with a matt black lacquer finish that discreetly hides the sliding mechanism. Adding a layer of modern convenience, this metal box can also accommodate two USB sockets, offering a seamless integration of technology. Overall, the Iren Desk exemplifies how high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and technological features can come together to create a highly functional yet aesthetically pleasing workspace.

MATERIALS & DETAILS

Comprising two overlapping beech plywood tops with ash edging, this desk offers both function and elegance. The lower “L”-shaped top is fixed, featuring a recess perfect for small items, while the upper top is slidable and rests on a matt black metal box that hides the sliding guides and houses two USB sockets. The tops are secured to a sawhorse base via a steel anchor plate, also lacquered matt black. Both the edges and base come in two ash finishes: wenge stain or moka stain. The tops are upholstered in either ColorSphere® or Saddle Extra, with optional tone-on-tone or contrasting edge stitching. For a final aesthetic touch, the Poltrona Frau logo is heat-embossed on the bottom corner of the sliding top.

This product is made to order in the Poltrona Frau factory in Italy especially for you, with a production time of 6 - 8 weeks, therefore please expect delivery within 8 - 10 weeks from the date of order.

Standard Delivery (courier)

Standard Delivery is a courier delivery service suitable for smaller furniture items, and most lighting & accessory items. Once the items you've ordered are ready for dispatch from our warehouse, your order will be dispatched on a next day service.

This service does not include delivery into the property, assembly or unpacking. For larger items the driver may require assistance when unloading.

Platinum Delivery (white glove)

The delivery team will deliver your items to your room of choice and remove all the packaging for you. If required, all items will be assembled by the delivery team. Once the items have been received into our warehouse and are ready for delivery, our delivery team will be in touch to arrange delivery with you.

On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products or wall mounted goods such as, but not limited to shelving, mirrors, and pictures.

Click & Collect

Once your order has arrived in our warehouse, and the item(s) have been quality checked, we will contact you to let you know your order is ready for collection. Please remember to bring proof of purchase with you, such as your order confirmation email.

About Kensaku Oshiro

Kensaku Oshiro was born in Okinawa, Japan, in 1977. Since 1999, after receiving a Master degree in Industrial Design at “Scuola Politecnica di Design” in Milan, he began working with several practices until 2004. He suddenly joined the design team of Lissoni Associati studio, with whom he worked until mid-2012. In the second half of 2012 he moved to London to work with BarberOsgerby.
